A medical graduate of Rani Durgawati University, Netaji Subhash Chandra Medical College, Jabalpur, M.P., India; Dr. Suresh K Pandey completed his residency in Ophthalmology from prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India.
He completed fellowship at Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC, USA (mentor- Prof. David J. Apple and Prof. M Edward Wilson), John A Moran Eye Center, University of Utah, USA (Mentor Prof. Randall J. Olson) & University of Sydney, Australia (Mentor Prof. Frank Billson) from1998 to 2006. Dr. Suresh K Pandey returned to India in 2006 to establish SuVi Eye Institute and Lasik Laser Center at Kota, Rajasthan, India.
Dr. Pandey has presented more than 100 scientific papers in various international ophthalmological meetings and authored more than 100 scientific papers/communications, 40 textbook chapters, and 8 ophthalmic textbooks. Dr. Pandey’s book on Pediatric Cataract Surgery (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, USA) remains the bestseller on this topic.
Dr Suresh Pandey was awarded Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He received several prestigious awards for his research & surgical innovations, which include Best-of-Show Video Award, Best Poster Award, the surgical videos, and scientific posters in the national and international ophthalmology congresses such as American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr Suresh K Pandey was awarded Gold Medal by Indian Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery Society. He has performed Live Surgery at international meeting at Milan, Italy as well as at Delhi Ophthalmological Society (DOS) and Rajasthan Ophthalmological Society (ROS) conferences. Dr Suresh K Pandey and his spouse (Dr Vidushi Sharma) were honored by Govt. of Rajasthan, India for his outstanding work done in the field of ophthalmic teaching and elimination of preventable blindness.
Dr Suresh Pandey’s contributed more than 300 videos related to routine and complex ophthalmic surgery and ophthalmic practice management on YouTube and EyeTube. Several ophthalmologists (trainees and observers from India and abroad have visited us, including from USA, Switzerland, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan and Iraq. Dr Pandey is also participating as editorial reviewer for peer-reviewed journal such as Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Eye, Survey of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Postgraduate Medicine, American Journal of Ophthalmology, etc.
